Medicinal Benefits: tonic, nervine, stimulent, diuretic, dyspepsia, constipationantispasmodic, cold, aches, pains, flu, expectorant, fever, bronchial, anti-inflamatory, swelling, poultice, strains, soft tissue sprains, fever, colds, rickets, and aching bones, cleansing for stomach, liver bowels, uterus and skin, night sweats, rheumatism, bronchitis, and sore throat.
Ways to Use: tea, linament, cream, poultice, ointment, tincture and infusion.
Recipes: Tea for Flu – 2 tsp Boneset, 1 tsp Elder Flower, 1 tsp Peppermint. Cover with 16 ounces of under boiling purified water. Steep for 5-10 minutes. Drink 1 cup every 2 hours. Sweeten with Licorice or honey.
Infusion – 1 ounce Boneset, 1 and 1/4 cups of Distilled Water. Boil the water and then pour over the herb. Cover and place in a warm place for 20 minutes. Strain, cool and bottle. Keep in a cool place. Take 2 ounces 3-4 times a day.
